In this role you will work in an international HR team and will be responsible for all aspects of the HR service to the business, ensuring outstanding results by delivering value-add, best in class HR support.


What You'll be Doing... 

  • Partnering with the local management team as well as relevant leaders across the business to support strategic plans and develop people plans; positively challenge business plans from a people perspective - considering resourcing, engagement, attrition, talent mapping, alignment etc.
    • Developing and delivering HR solutions to drive performance management, employee engagement, talent retention and communication.
    • Coaching and consulting with business managers on an ongoing basis on issues affecting morale, performance, reward, retention, development and organisation effectiveness, seeking to determine root causes and recommending/implementing appropriate next steps.
    • In conjunction with business managers ensure that the appropriate resources and capabilities are in place to meet the growth aspirations of the organisation.
    • Uses business insights to drive change in people management practices. Analysis of trends and metrics to develop solutions, programmes and policies.
    • Manage and seek to resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations as required.
    • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Educates the line managers and wider HR team on amendments to legislation and/or internal policy.
    • Proactively supports the delivery of talent initiatives designed by the central Talent team.
    • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Leads and drives HR related projects as required.

What We're Looking For... 

  • Experience of operating as a Business Partner with demonstrated success in meeting exceptionally high standards in a high volume, fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Proven knowledge and practical application of Portuguese practices and employment laws.
  • Experience in fast growing and changing work environments.
  • Coaching and mentoring experience at management level.
  • Will be an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
  • You will have high energy and flexibility, fantastic communication skills and huge amounts of drive.
  • You will be comfortable with high volume workload and not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves".
  • Ability to identify problems, apply critical thinking and drive appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to develop strong working relations at all levels.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while delivering in a structured and focused way.
  • Bias for action, strong work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence.
