The Role

The Lead People Partner (Lead PP) will be responsible for working with the People Director, senior leaders and stakeholders in planning, executing and driving the strategic People's agenda for the location.

Will be responsible for managing a team of people partners, ensuring they are developed and feel connected to the location People strategy and effectively connect with all professionals at all levels within the location and relevant divisions.

With a strong strategic and analytic mindset, the Lead PP should have the ability to translate Technology business plans and goals into the human resource capabilities and should be able to work with the wider People Team and subject matter experts on multi-disciplinary projects/responsibilities, including employee relations, performance management, diversity and inclusion, engagement and retention activities, as well as an understanding of compensation and benefits and talent development activity.

Main accountabilities:

• Partner with the People Director in the creation and definition of the Porto people strategy and then actively contribute to the implementation of that strategy.
• Leading on key people partnering initiatives and workstreams across the location.
• Line manage people partners, ensuring the team is led, developed, and feels connected to the location strategy. You will mentor and develop your team to coordinate cross-team activities.
• With autonomy and proactivity, ypu should assist in the review, development and successful implementation of progressive people policies, processes and plans to drive continuous engagement and embed a performance culture across the organization.
• Driving team effectiveness through org design, advice & coaching, team development and continuous improvement within your own areas of responsibility.
• Support and develop line managers and senior leaders within the Location, in driving a performance culture through coaching.
• Solve problems and identify root causes of various complex issues and design quickly implementable solutions.
• Supporting the development of our people across the location to ensure we're attracting and retaining top talent.
• Own the performance management process and its local implementation, and any key actions and insights that are generated.
• Assist business leaders in performance improvement plans, but also in creating the right development plans for our employees. Recognize industry trends and applying/creating "best practice" solutions.
• Support the business and the Location for all the reward and benefits process.
• Partner with the business leaders to ensure that employees are treated in an equitable and consistent manner and in line with the Company policies and practices.  Find the right balance between business needs and employee advocacy. Provide consultation to managers on employee engagement strategies with their teams.
• Lead and assist organization transformation and change programs, including restructuring, legal process and variation of contracts.
• Work with the talent team to drive key talent, succession & L&D initiatives ensuring any solutions are localized based on the needs of the business area.
• Employee engagement – working proactively and using available data to drive local engagement plans and enhance the employee experience.
• Using data and key metrics to understand where and how to add value to the employee experience.
• Working with the rest of the people team to swarm on our biggest collective challenges, coming up with people-centric solutions and iterating these to suit the needs of our colleagues.
• Work together with Group People Team to ensure a great employee experience for all Porto employees and stakeholders.
• Work closely with divisional leadership teams to ensure alignments and full support.
