THE POSITION

This role focuses on strong business and application analysis with an emphasis on Oracle Financials.  A combination of a wide-range of accounting/financial process knowledge, in-depth understanding of the integration between the various Oracle modules and month-end process, and a strong process-oriented approach for maintaining internal controls is strongly sought after. In addition, a solid background in various software development lifecycles (SDLCs), Agile, as well as a proven track record in the development of key project artifacts such as project charters, requirements documentation, test plans will be essential.

In this role you will provide direction, coordination, communication, and documentation supporting our financial system and processes and help support operational and project planning with the financials and Oracle space

What you will be doing...

As the Oracle Business Analyst, you will:

  • Lead the gathering, analysis, documentation, and validation of business and / or technical needs using interviews, workshops, and project management methodologies
  • Understanding of the various Oracle Finance modules and how the application can best be utilized and configured to meet business requirements
  • Evaluates new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems/packages
  • Documents requirements and solution designs before configuring or directing build of application solutions for the business requirements
  • Participates, facilitates, and may lead solution design and configurations/setups
  • Participates, analyzes, facilitates, and may lead testing activities
  • Interacts with packaged software service organizations to secure assistance and solutions for more complex application issues
  • Acts as a liaison between the IT development group and business units for the evaluation, requirements, design, development, and implementation of new systems/packages and enhancements, configurations and customizations of existing systems or packages
  • Provide operational support to end-users of the system including configuration maintenance, troubleshoot and resolve system problems

What we're looking for...

  • Strong knowledge of Atlassian projects and systems.
  • Proven ability to convert business requirement into functional specification documents
  • Experience with providing project estimates and managing projects
  • At least five (5) years of business analysis experience
  • At least five (5) years of experience with R12 Oracle Financials projects including implementation and upgrades
  • Knowledge of SLA, MOAC, workflow, setups and flexfields
  • Working knowledge of PL/SQL, Toad, and SQL Plus
  • Lead partnerships with internal teams and external business partners.

  • You work autonomously actively driving solutions, projects, and identifying areas for improvement in the platform.
  • A high degree of focus on quality to build resilient, scalable, and maintainable systems.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and customer engagement skills.
  • Collects and researches data; Use logical intuition and experience to complement data; Design and improve workflows, processes, and procedures.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in an efficient manner; Collect and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem-solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
